Step 1
In Frame #1, create the text you want to fade. Select the text and make it a symbol. You can do this by going to Insert > Convert To Symbol, or by hitting F8. Choose Graphic. Go to Modify > Instance. Select the Color Effect tab. In the drop-down menu choose Tint. Set Tint Amount to 100%.
Step 2
Go to Frame #20 and insert a keyframe (Either by Insert > Keyframe or F6). Convert To Symbol. Choose Graphic. Go to Modify > Instance. Select the Color Effect tab. Choose Tint. Set Tint Amount to 0%.
Step 3
Go back to Frame #1. In the Insert menu choose Create Motion Tween.
Step 4
Test your movie. (Ctrl + Enter)
